The project was inspired by ancient human jewellries. It aims to reach a very simple shape that modifies the body by interfering with the silhouette. The necklace builds on the contrast of relatively big, brutish form and the smoothness, softness of a polished surface. The material I used for the project is purpleheart wood that naturally darkens into a violent purple colour by time and human touch. The necklace was created during a course at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
